I can't leave her at home when we travel so this gives her plenty of room to move about and it keeps her safe. I feel there is adequate ventilation. The door isn't perfectly tight and their is a 1/4 inch slot running the length of two sides on the top. It was a little tall to fit in our rv so I asked for a custom size of height. It took a bit longer to recieve it but it fits perfectly.
