I cooled it down via the mains for about 8 hours before leaving, then inserted some ice packs along with the meds and it lasted for 48 hours, some of which was spent in a warm car boot.The motor can be a little loud, but put it in eco mode overnight and there is no issue. Unfortunately it has one annoying aspect. Condensation collects inside the lid (where it shouldn't) as well as inside the box (where it would be expected). This means that when you open the lid, water escapes and drips all over whatever the box is standing on. In my case, at the end of a two-day journey into deepest, darkest (and hottest) France, I opened the lid and soaked the car. To be clear, you would expect condensation on the internal cooling fins and when this happens, it simply drips into the cooler when the lid is opened.
