I wanted a glass water bottle for a long time as it's not healthy to drink out of plastic bottles. I searched for loads and this one seemed to fit the bill as it is very large - 1L in size. I wanted the water bottle for use in the house so the size worked well for me. If you are buying this bottle to use whilst out and about, I wouldn't recommend it as it will be too large and probably too heavy to carry around but it's perfect for use at home or in work and save you having constantly fill up a glass.The glass is strong and it has a wide neck which I like - I find it easy to drink out of this bottle so I'm definitely drinking more water now. Like other reviewers have said, it does leak a bit. You have to make sure the lid is screwed on properly and not too tightly. The ridges of the bottle neck don't seem to fit too well with the lid which is annoying so even when you think you have screwed it on properly it can still leak - to be honest once you find the knack to screwing it on it tends to be ok and as I don't travel with mine and it is mostly upright - it leaking isn't really an issue for me.The glass protective cover had a funny, chemical smell to it so I took this off, I think the smell would have gone with time but it was off putting drinking as I could smell it when taking a sip. All in all, I would give this a 4/5 due to the leaky lid ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mmmm. Tea. *by A***R on 26 April 2017* It's amazing.I use it to brew tea when I'm in the office.
