This time when buying a 1tb capacity card for my laptop I would try a different external case to use the old 500gb card. This case looks and feels a quality product. A bit fiddly picking the right heat pad to use but , at least you have a selection to choose from. Other reviewers mentioned unsuitable for cloning so I did a full backup using macrium software and all went smoothly. I will be buying the same case again soon to utilise the original 256gb nvme card supplied with my Asus rog lap. The plan was to replace the original Samsung SSD with a Samsung 970 EVO 500Gb. I downloaded the Samsung software but it would not see this device.
