It fits in a small nook where a conventional toaster used to be. I love that I can choose how long to toast bread. I like mine really crispy, so I leave it in for about 10 minutes. I do use tongs to reposition the bread part way through toasting because the heating element below is just a single bar--long enough, but not quite wide enough to toast the whole slice evenly. The top heating element is a bit wider than the bottom one. I was so frustrating to try to clean a toaster because you could never get it completely clean by just dumping the crumbs out. This solves that problem. The ONLY problem with it is it IS a burn risk. You have to be careful getting the toast out or you will get burned. The thing that clamps together onto the toast is a bit tight too. And the pull-out tray does get water inside of it when you wash it, so that needs to be revisited.
