## Description

The MaxxFan Deluxe is the only complete RV ventilation system that incorporates a vent, fan and rain shield in a single all in one unit. Twin lifting arms, no more lid fluttering in high winds or when driving. Features a powerful, fuse protected, Long life, sealed ball bearing, 12 volt fan motor and a 12" 10-blade fan. Flush mounted, easy to clean keypad controls fan speed, thermostat, air intake and/or exhaust functions. Fits all standard 14" x 14" roof openings, all mounting screws and hardware included. Roof sealant must be purchased separately. Brings in fresh air and removes hot musty air and odors.

Review: Yeah, I get why everyone upgrades to these things. - It's pretty darn quiet, and because the fan is a larger overall diameter than the stock RV fan, it's no wonder RV owners love this thing. Install was super easy as well! You do have to spend some time doing the prep work, but because of how all these parts are very easily interchangeable, it's not something that really requires any high level of proficiency/expertise. Watch a few videos first to confirm you've got the general flow of things, and it becomes very straight forward. Operation is great! The remote is very handy, though for the time being, we've got the fan running on low all day anyways because we like having the air circulation. We replaced the washroom vent fan, and on that part of the RV, the roof slants towards the outer wall - so I suspect the fan is currently running at a slight angle - it's still quiet, but it makes me wonder whether or not it'd be even quieter if mounted dead level. It obviously moves a bit more air than the stock ones - you can tell as most RV washroom doors have a gap at the bottom, and you will notice the increased airflow over your feet if the door's closed. It was a bit strange to notice the washroom was a bit darker in the middle of the day, but as a bonus, the cover is semi transparent, so it's almost like an additional skylight in our washroom. You'd think with the remote as big as it is, if it really were designed for the elderly, they'd make the buttons that much bigger, along with the font. It seems unnecessarily large, to accommodate for the screen, that they might as well have made the buttons and font larger as well.

**Q: What is the current draw for this?**
A: 100% fan power = 2.66A.  10% = 0.15A

**Q: Does the fly screen keep out midgies? If not, can it be removed easily in order to change the screen material so it protects against the dreaded midge**
A: The screen can be taken off by turning the retaining clips half a turn each and then you could attach any material you have. Alternatively, add velcro strips and stick a midge net over the opening

**Q: Can i fit to high top van cabin**
A: It depends on the profile of the roof your attaching it too, and if your installer is competent to create a flat sealable surface.  The methodology for fitting this is almost identical to any 400x400mm roof light.  An adapter plate to create a flat mount surface is recommended, but not essential.  

I'd recommend you check the overall dimensions of the unit against the roof space you have available and the shape.  

If your intending to use this unit while driving, it probably isn't suitable.  It's designed to be open while static.

It's pretty darn quiet, and because the fan is a larger overall diameter than the stock RV fan, it's no wonder RV owners love this thing. Install was super easy as well! You do have to spend some time doing the prep work, but because of how all these parts are very easily interchangeable, it's not something that really requires any high level of proficiency/expertise. Watch a few videos first to confirm you've got the general flow of things, and it becomes very straight forward. Operation is great! The remote is very handy, though for the time being, we've got the fan running on low all day anyways because we like having the air circulation. We replaced the washroom vent fan, and on that part of the RV, the roof slants towards the outer wall - so I suspect the fan is currently running at a slight angle - it's still quiet, but it makes me wonder whether or not it'd be even quieter if mounted dead level. I had a different brand, without a remote before. Hardly used it. The fact that I can turn fan on/off without getting in the back & having to wind it up & doing the same to turn it off. Its quieter, looks better & works great. The remote has a couple of times not wanted to work, like signals on, but no action. Turn remote on & off a couple times & it worked. But its great & thats better than the odd hiccup
