If you are replacing the entire module you will likely have to have a hot air station. If you are like me and only have a soldering iron/station, then you can get away with just replacing the TMR "sensor" attatched to the side of the module. There are plenty of videos covering this, but I was able to desolder the existing carbon potentiometer (just 3 solder joints per pot, 2 pots per joystick) and retro-fit the new TMR onto the existing module. This makes it possible to do without a hot air station, since you can het up all three legs easily. After installing just the x axis on the left joystick, I tested; perfectly centered, no calibration required for what I did. Everything worked well for me. Good luck!
