How many grams each day per guinea pig?** A: Guinea pigs only need 2 tablespoons of pellets per pig, per day. Their diet should be 80% hay (give them unlimited hay, more than what the packet suggests as they eat it constantly to wear down their teeth and keep their digestive system moving), 10% veg (1 cup per pig, per day, with some fruit sporadically), 5% pellets and 5% treats. Pellets are only needed to fill in any nutritional gaps missed from the choice of veg. If fed correctly they should have their vitamin c needs met from their daily veggies. **Q: How big are the pellets? (Dimensions in mm).** A: Roughly 10x 10x 5. But all are slightly different. When I switched them to Selective Naturals they became so much more excited for their pellets, running over and begging. It's great to see a daily food option that is clearly not only delicious for the piggies but also healthy and nutritious. This food was recommended to me as one of the best options on the market for their health, with the grain free recipe a massive plus. The bag size is pretty standard and lasts my two boys a fair while (maybe 1 ½ months?). While the price is a bit more than your standard pet shop/supermarket options, it is still affordable and I think the difference in quality makes it well worth it. The only complaint I have is that the bottom of the bag is just pellet dust rather than actual pellets, but I have had the same experience with basically every guinea pig food I have tested. The pellets smell fresh and I appreciate how it is not a muesli mix as this prevents guinea pigs from selective eating and not getting all the nutrients they need in their diet. Since starting these pellets I haven't noticed any issues with my piggies' digestion/stool.
