Volume - it goes very loud for its size. I've bought it for my garden during the summer with it taking batteries! My old one lasted absolutely ages, so I expect the same for this one, however £2.50 for 3 years replacement is great too. I've never actually used it with just batteries so not sure how it will fare with those, but honestly if you are after a cheap and reliable cd player - this is a no brainer!
