The traditional Heidal cheese is made the old-fashioned way, in molds made by a local woodcarver. Heidal's brown cheese is mild, sweet, rich and round in taste. You can also spread some lefs with butter, brown cheese and crispy cured ham, and serve as finger food in nice rolls. The Heidal cheese is a dark type of Gudbrandsdal cheese with powerful, round and caramel-like taste. Long cooking time, good craftsmanship and good ingredients give the award-winning taste.
