If I am lucky enough to have any on hand when and if there is no power, I would just add room temperature water and let it soak longer. It would still be tasty and good to eat. The Mountain House chicken and dumplings are so good, that I make them for lunch or dinner and before I know it, I have nothing left for emergency meals. They are so simple to make.
