Copper coloured clamps, but only a (good) coating. Coating can be scrapped off, but not without some effort. Thin steel base metal.The cable seems to me to be copper coated steel cable. The ends sparkle like steel.I have no handy method of measuring it, but as a "cable installer and tester" in a previous job, the cable is no bigger than 10mmsq and maybe nearer 5mmsq. The insulation layer is monstrously thick to help with the "con". Cable is simply not fit for purpose.To "top off" the quality there is no real connection from the cable to the clamps. They have striped back the cable, bent it over to run back along the insulation, then crimped the cable and insulation to the clamp. Its wired up like a coax end on a tv aerial.A little effort and it slides around. A real Bodgit and Scarper "friction joint" with enough resistance to cause a fire.When I crimp them properly and add a decent chunk of solder, they still wont be good - just adequate if careful.800 amps - who has a jumbo jet to jump start?These will get very very warm, very quickly, but might be OK for 30 seconds of use and are better than nothing - just.They look do look pretty though.I cant send them back, as I took one clamp to bits in disbelief at the jointing method.I gambled on buying them as the price is massively below the cost of making my own.I can be so dumb sometimes - when something looks too good to be true - it is too good to be true. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Just Incase *by D***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 April 2021* Not used yet I got them as my battery went flat....Alternator broke! so I’d keep these in your car just in case you need a bump some time.
