While I have nose bleed plugs with Calcium Alginate to help speed up clotting and stop the bleeding, I actually don't have general gauze with a clotting factor. I came across this Hemostatic gauze and decided to add it to my kits. Like the rest of the kit, it is something I rather have and not need to use than need and not have it. The package received has an expiration date of 10-09-2027. Per the directions, it is simple enough to use. There is a single gauze strip measuring 2.95" wide by 59" long. While I haven't had an opportunity to use it, it is added peace of mind to have it ready.
