They can also be cleaned periodically. It is just recommended not to use harsh cleaners or extremely hot water temperatures when doing so. **Q: Will these work for bruising low on the shin (like just about foot/ ankle area)? Most bruising I see on reviews is on the actual middle shin** A: The only way to know for sure is to find out.
