As for cats, i think if they are inclined to damage them eventually they will succeed. But these are very strong and take a lot of punishment from dog passage without damage. **Q: if its too long can i cut the length** A: Hello, please don't cut it, the fabric will be split out, you can fold the bottom and stitch it. Mine was 2.4 metres. **Q: I have just had this delivered but there wasn’t any Velcro included to stick around the door frame, should this have been included?** A: I think it should be included. I received a long roll of tape, enough to apply to both sides and the top of the screen. I also received a small box of pins in case the screen was being applied to a wooden door frame. I would contact the company as I found them very eager to please. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars My MOST FAVOURITE Fly Screen By A Country Mile! *by L***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 June 2023* The media could not be loaded.  Erm, didn't think I could get excited by a fly screen, but perhaps I can! ultimately, in a nutshell, it does what it say's and it does it rather well.With it being White, it lets a lot of light through into the kitchen area.We bought one of these last year and liked it so much that we bought the same one again this year.The year before that (2 years ago) we tried a Black coloured fly screen. It didn't really snap together too well (although that could have been down to my inexperience in fitting at the time). The Black one also made it seem darker in the kitchen - gloomy really!So, it's well made and easily good enough really for the job. Expect to replace each year (in my opinion) because they do get grubby each time somebody (especially children!) goes through it with dirty hands or their shoes on.Replacement is very simple. remove the old, and the old adhesive tape.Hold the top of the fly screen above the door and make sure the bottom of the fly screen is just touching the door bottom (so no flies can fly in the house underneath it). Then use the adhesive velcro tape and cut a strip that fits across the top of the door. Stick it into position. Then fasten the velcro on the top of the screen to it.Now, keeping both halves of the fly screen closed (via the magnets), do the same with the adhesive tape down the left, then the right hand side of the door. then finally stick the screen side sections to the velcro strip.Give it a quick test. push the middle of the door screen to check it snaps back shut automatically without you needing to intervene.if it doesn't it'll be because you have the screen stretched too wide sideways. You don't want to do this. You need to make sure that there is no "stretching" or pulling of the screen to any side to make it fit.. allow it to work at it's normal tension and then you will find the magnets will do their job just fine.Once you are happy, they do also give you some nails with White plastic heads on. You can hammer those in around the edges of the screen to provide additional security.Overall, I am genuinely really happy with this and cannot fault it at all. I do like it so much that I've bought it again this year. It's easy to fit, lasts a full year (or more if you don't mind it being grubby), and keeps those flies out!Big thumbs up from me! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars So easy to fit and really effective *by S***B on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 June 2020* An excellent product. We've fitted it to the outside PVC frame of our kitchen door. It was very easy to fit. I followed the instructions and cleaned the frame first then got the velcro tape at the top of the frame fitted. After measuring the height required, I then fitted the velcro tape on one side. For the other side rather than trying to measure the width gap I needed, I actually fitted the two parts of the screen together then attached to the already stuck-on velcro tape at the top and on one side. I then stuck the screen to the remaining velcro tape. I then removed the tape backing bit by bit and stuck the tape to the door frame ensuring that there was enough tension for the two parts of the screen to stay taut but not enough that the magnets come apart. Very easy to do but I suggest 2 people work together to do this last part.In use, after walking through the two halves, they snap nicely back into place. Sometimes the bottom stays on the wrong side of the door. However, you just need to nudge the bottom to the right side of the door and the magnets do their work to bring them together. The magnets appear to be very strong and it will be interesting to see if they stay that way over time.We were slightly concerned that the black colour would darken the kitchen but, in our opinion, the effect is minimal. Also, there are tie backs which you can fit either side so the screen is not permanently across the door. However, we've not found it necessary to use them.Now we can open the kitchen door to get fresh air when cooking in the kitchen with no worry about insects getting in.We were so pleased with it that we've ordered a larger one for our patio doors. They open outwards so we will have to fit inside.
