As soon as I pulled it from the packaging today, I knew there was something hinky about this bulb and have since confirmed it.Per the photo I've attached, at some point in its life, the ceramic base on this bulb had Osram molded or etched into it but it was later ground out such that only the 'O' remains.To me this suggests one of two things... in order of likelihood, here they are;These bulbs were intended to be sold as counterfeit Osram (and the[y got busted), or they're factory seconds that failed to meet OEM standards.Suffice to say, I went ahead and installed the bulb in my W1070 and confirmed these bulbs ARE NOT what they claim to be and NOT worth your hard earned cash. As soon as I powered up the projector I knew I'd been taken for a ride - the screen color was completely different and you could see through the cooling vents that the bulb color was nothing like the original bulb.I figured I could play with color correction to get some function out of this but within 2mins, the projector shut the bulb down for an overheat issue.The folks selling these products (and this includes Amazon to some extent if they ignore what's being reported) are simply thieves and scammers and its high time we put a to stop to this nonsense.I'll be returning this product in short order and reporting it to Amazon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ very satisfied *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2020* Before that, I have been buying bulb with housing. Because the housing in my Benq w1070 projector is not broken, it can save a lot of money to buy a naked bulb. The lbulb is easy to install.
