Comes with zero instructions so no idea how long to keep the sandwich in. You’d think it would be self intuitive but it’s not. Worst part is the cleanup, or lack thereof. Yes, the cooking plates are nonstick and wipe easily. It’s the rest of the machine. You figure melted cheese is going to be a go-to in most sandwiches. Even using a small amount it ended up all over the place. I spent more time cleaning my counter as the cheese just kept coming. And, it ends up cooked and hardened within all the plastic crevices surround the plates. One “sandwich” in this maker was enough for me.
