Review: Wow, what a difference! - I'm in a unique situation, in that our house is behind a hill to the nearest cell tower. When I mounted this on the apex of our roof, it was just enough to get a direct line of sight to the cell tower. The result was a jump huge from 2 bars to 5 bars on the Netgear Nighthawk 1100 mobile hotspot router and an increase of 10-20 db in signal. I'm finally testing at 25mb download and 10mb upload speeds. So I can't really comment on if this is a result of the quality of the unit versus other brands. Any brand may have had these results in this case. The installation was very simple, it's just that I hate ladders. Keep in mind you will need the special 50 ohm coaxial cable. It's a whopping 3/8" thick and the connectors at either end are 3/4" wide. That means you need to drill a huge hole in the side of your house to get it in. And you will also need the pigtail splitter-adapter to convert the single coax cable to two for the Nighthawk if you are using that one. The unit is well made. Seems weather resistant enough and has a profile that should be OK in high winds. The connections are secure. I didn't need to use their tech support, so I can't comment on that. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.
Review: Mounted two in MIMO on a cargo van - I have a 4G cellular modem that I have inside of a metal cargo van which naturally blocks wireless signals, so I had no intention of operating it without having antennas. I wired two of these in MIMO and mounted them off of the back of the van, at each of the rear corners. I can't say if these would improve the signal over any other option. For nearly a year, I have driven on US interstates and a lot of US and Canadian highways and maintained acceptable connection for VoIP calls. I preferred the two smaller round antennas to having one larger round antenna that would make the vehicle taller, or the two flat antennas that might increase vehicle drag.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I use this to boost a helium hotspot?**
A: Yes. Helium uses the 915 MHz band where this antenna will have about 4 dBi gain.

**Q: Will this work with mimo netgeat lb1120?**
A: Yes it will work with the LB1120. You need an SMA Male to N Male cable like this one: https://amzn.to/3g64sd6 as well as a TS9 to SMA jumper cable: https://amzn.to/3FX1dki

Note that the LB1120 like all LTE devices is designed to perform best with 2 identical antennas, so consider installing 2 of these about 2 feet apart.

**Q: Why doesn't the specification list include the IP rating of this product?**
A: It must be an oversight. We will see about getting the specification sheet updated. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

**Q: Can I use one antenna for receiving connected to an amplifier and use another antenna to extend the signal on my ranch?**
A: As long as your amplifier uses 50 ohm connections for both connections, you can use this antenna on either side.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Improved Stability
*by B***P on June 17, 2019*

Using in conjunction with AT&T "Nighthawk" hot spot in remote area. Improved 1-2 bars to consistant 2-3 bars, thus stabilizing our signal. Got a prompt response from support regarding painting ("yes" with paint for plastics).
