It's more a tan than a cream color. The bag itself doesn't look like the sophisticated leather I initially thought and I'm not sure how I will get the wrinkles out from shipping or once I do, how long they will stay out. The fabric feels more like a raincoat. With that in mind, it should be easy to wash and stay clean and the fabric quality feels as if it is rugged enough to stand up to buses and floors and the like.
