I'm a light eater and have IBS which often causes me to lose my appetite. I used to think that staying hydrated was more important than eating, but that's not the case. Hospital had me on a low liquid diet. So, I knew I needed to maintain a low liquid diet and electrolytes containing significant salt in my diet. So many brands to choose from, I bought the Superieur electrolytes in "fresh citrus". My husband bought half dozen other brands. All I know is that I need a low liquid diet with electrolytes heavy on the salt. . .that I can dilute so I don't end up with hyPERnotremia! I called the company a few weeks ago to ask if the product was made for people who suffered from HyPOnatremia. I happened to get the pompous owner on the phone who told me the hospital doctors were wrong (this was my third ER admission over 10 years due to Hyponatremia), and he arrogantly told me that my issue was DEHYDRATION and that I should be drinking EIGHTY-FIVE OUNCES of WATER A DAY!!!! Fact is last attack of Hyponatremia gave me SEIZURES (next stop Coma & possibly death!). EIGHTY-FIVE OUNCES of water a day could KILL ME! I'm a 5'6 female of normal weight. Needless to say I chose to dump the not so superior "SUPERIEUR" and am continuing with much better quality electrolyte products.
