It did not disappoint, as someone who doesnt adore ketchup, but does enjoy it in the odd meal, this blew me away, I actually prefer this to the larger name brands, and its cheaper, score! Its nice and creamy, easy to get the right amount out of the bottle (can't take that forgranted these days), and has a very nice taste, not too strong, not too weak. The bottle is surprisingly large, and contains a lot of ketchup, I have been known to have way too much and its been going strong for a good month now, and still tastes as good as when it arrived. As another plus, it is just runny enough to the point where it is easy to get the ketchup to the bottom of the bottle, making it much easier to reduce waste and make the most of it. This "by Amazon" ketchup is perfectly edible, but it lacks that deep, rich tomato flavor.Flavor Profile: It tastes a little more acidic and vinegary than the leading brand, and slightly sweeter, without that savory "umami" kick you get from Heinz.Consistency: The texture is decent—it's not too watery, and it sits on a chip without running off, but it feels slightly thinner than the premium brands.Usage If you are putting this inside a burger or a hot dog where there are lots of other flavors (onions, mustard, meat), it is absolutely fine. You probably won't notice the difference. However, for dipping chips or fries directly where the ketchup is the main flavor, it falls a bit short.Value vs. Quality The main selling point here is the price. So I'm perhaps not the best person to review this. However! I thought the taste, texture and smell were comparable to the well-known name brands and much better than the supermarket own-brand offerings, at a competitive price. It wasn't too watery, too sugary or too vinegary which are problems I usually find with affordable ketchups. I thought it had a nice balance of flavours. My only complaint is that, despite leaving it in the fridge, it seemed to get "fizzy" quicker than others.
