Enter this device. a two ring infra red table top cooker, which I chose in preference to an induction alternative as that seemed too similar to microwaving. Looking at photos of this product you could be forgiven for thinking you are buying a glorified camping cooker but, although its light portability does indeed lend itself to that, be assured that this is far more. There is no complex technology to grapple with, just two rings and two knobs, great stuff. The left ring is the larger, the right one the smaller, and each the same size as would be found on a conventional hob. Plug it in, choose which ring, or even both, turn the knob and hey presto heating up is a few seconds only away from instant and, so far, out of possible heat settings of between 1 and 6 I have been able to cook everything at no higher than 2.5. Therefore, I have calculated that the savings in electricity costs are substantial, and it has properly cooked absolutely everything I have thrown at it, including by using my three tier stainless steel steamer.
