No flowery words, no content creation, just works as expected ### ⭐⭐⭐ Review *by W***H on 5 January 2025* The microbial communities that live within our drains are bound to vary from one sink to the next, so I’m reluctant to suggest that this product won’t work for your clog. Unfortunately, the “active culture blend” supposedly contained in the bottle didn’t do much for mine. In fairness, I deliberately deviated from the instructions to pour about a quarter of the bottle down the drain on consecutive nights. I suppose following the directions might have worked (particularly as the product also contains lye [sodium hydroxide], which is the active ingredient in many drain cleaners), but I was primarily interested in inoculating my drain with the crud eating organisms that the product supposedly contains. I poured enough of the drain cleaner down the drain to coat the pipe walls before going to work every day, and repeated the process for a month. The best I can say is that there may have been a slight improvement over a period where I would have expected the clog to worsen. It’s possible that I received a poorly stored bottle that had nothing living it it when it arrived (the bottle says that it should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit), I may have had better luck following the directions, or the product may work better in other environments.
