They were cheaper on Amazon, at the moment, so I took a chance. I'm very happy with these shoes and this vendor. The shoes are exactly the same as other quality Rockport shoes I've owned. The leather is soft right out of the box with no break-in period, and the insole cushion is very comfortable. The leather material (I'm assuming it is real leather) also has a nice give to it which prevents creases in the leather which would've made the shoes look old quickly. I ordered the wide fit, and they are a nice width. The sole is somewhat chunky for dress shoe, but the images made that clear before I purchased them. The red wine color dress shoes are excellent because they go well with grey, beige, or blue slacks. Overall, this was an excellent purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful shoes, but sizing.... *by Q***I on May 30, 2016* These are great shoes at a fantastic price. However, I was very surprised that the sizing was off. I take a 10 D (m) shoe. I typically wear 9.5 loafers. My last pair, Sperry Top-Sider Men's Liberty Loafer, fit beautiful, and were 9.5. These were too big. They seem great, comfortable, but slightly too big (my heal slips out of the show when walking.) Amazon has a great return policy on these, so I am returning them. I went to a local store and tried on a size 9. They fit, but they are snug around the top of my feet. I tried a 9 wide, and it did not work.If I get these, it will take time to break them in, so I am undecided on what I will do. I will probably look for a different brand. I am giving these 5 stars, because they should work great for some people, and you can by with confidence from Amazon, with their return policy ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Classic Shoe and Rockport Quality *by K***R on June 25, 2015* I have been wearing Rockport Penny Loafers for years. The original pair I bought in the late 80s lasted me six years (three of those working in what we now call a big box store). My only complaints are that the more recent pairs have less internal padding than previous pairs and the fact that they don't last as long as they used to. They're still the "all affair, all the time" footwear of choice. The fit is generally good, if a tiny bit narrow; the arch support is adequate; the tread is solid; and they require little maintenance. (My last pair, I don't think I ever hit them with any wax, conditioner, or polish, and they still look pretty good to this day.)
