Review: Stretching with Confidence - This is a really comfortable, non slip yoga mat that, I think, is outstanding for the price. Having used cheap versions that don't cope with sweat and start to fall apart after a little use, this has been a revelation. It's almost as though the hotter you get the more stable you feel. It's comfortable enough to use directly on a solid floor, but will also work without slipping on carpet. Doing hot yoga is a joy with this mat as you know you're not going to slip out of a pose just at the wrong time. It also comes with a carry strap so you don't have to try and find space in a gym bag or buy a separate bag for it. As it arrived just before the Covid Restrictions came into action in the UK, I use the mat most days and wouldn't be without it for yoga or pilates. In fact, I'll probably take it with me to practice when the restrictions are lifted and we can all go back to a semblance of life before the pandemic. The team at IUGA seem to be really on it, too. Delivery was quick, the mat was well packaged and in great condition. And they seem to be keen to answer questions quickly. Highly recommended.

Bits had been falling off my old mat for a while, so it had to go. i decided on the IUGA pro non slip mat in navy blue, and couldn't be more pleased with it. It has improved my stability on the mat, as the previous mat i had was too thick and spongy, this one is comfortable (at 5ml thick), completely non-slip and lightweight, i had no issues with my feet or hands slipping at all, very impressive. I was initially worried it would be too big as it was described as being extra large, but it is only an inch or so wider than the mats in my studio, so doesn't bother anyone else or invade their space! and is the perfect length for me ( i am 5'10) so my feet don't hang over the end! I absolutely love it, and wish i'd got one sooner. It soon flattened out as soon as i started to use it and i had no issues at all. Delivery was really quick, came in a thin box with a sturdy carry strap included and instructions on how to clean the mat if needed. I think cost per use it's good value for money, and would buy from this company again.

**Q: After about a months use, it smells horrible. How do I get the smell out?**
A: I do hot yoga 4-5 times a week and sweat all over my mat & it smells AWFUL.  I've cleaned it, scrubbed it down with hot soapy water & tea tree oil and have soaked it in a bath tub and it's still bad.  I admit, I was bad about rolling it up still wet and not letting it air out in the beginning.  I've only used it for 2 months and child's pose is almost unbearable.  It's really hard to "arrive on my mat" when it smells so bad.

**Q: Does the squeakness go away eventually? I am afraid to use this mat since I don't want the squeakness intrupt other students at my yoga studio.**
A: The mat only squeaks at one of the places where I practice yoga. That facility has a wood floor. The other studio where I practice has concrete floors and I’ve never noticed the noise there. I think it depends more on the surface, but it squeaks just as much now as when I first bought it

**Q: Is this closed-cell and what material is it? TPE?**
A: Yes, TPE & artificial leather.

**Q: Is iuga mat surface smooth or textured? are the striations of color in picture of the mat - a design or actual texture in top layer of the mat?**
A: The mat is smooth on top and textured on the bottom so it doesn’t move on the floor. The color variation is just a design.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent mat for sensible price

Excellent mat - the best I've owned. Bought blue for £40 (whilst also considering £105 Liforme for alignment markings & reputation). I am very satisfied. I like the smooth rubber surface; very comfortable, grippy & no unnatural smell. (Doesn't interfere with my yoga transitions as others have said but I think this is more representative of our bodies than our mats!) The size is perfect (larger than many) and yet it isn't very heavy. The thickness is comfortable for my knees (which hurt on thin mats) even when placed on a wooden floor and it doesn't slip. TIP: Consider the fitted microfiber towels which attach via corner pockets also - they are an excellent addition.
