Review: Initial reactions - i am impressed (and that is not easy to do) - Having just received this mat I cannot give a detailed review - however first impressions are extremely positive. I teach yoga and my current mat is disintegrating, so I began researching the mats on offer. After careful consideration I opted for an ethically produced mat from an independent small company. So far I have been very impressed. The mat looks beautiful, and lives up to the claims of non-slip and lightweight and comfort. I cannot however comment on its longevity. I will be using the mat on a daily basis and will post an update in the future . I hold out great hopes for this lovely mat. Happy camper so far. Review: Love my new Yoga Mat! - I've been doing pilates/yoga for about 2 years now, once a week and decided it was time to upgrade my very cheap mat for something more stylish and hardwearing. Bits had been falling off my old mat for a while, so it had to go. i decided on the IUGA pro non slip mat in navy blue, and couldn't be more pleased with it. It has improved my stability on the mat, as the previous mat i had was too thick and spongy, this one is comfortable (at 5ml thick), completely non-slip and lightweight, i had no issues with my feet or hands slipping at all, very impressive. I was initially worried it would be too big as it was described as being extra large, but it is only an inch or so wider than the mats in my studio, so doesn't bother anyone else or invade their space! and is the perfect length for me ( i am 5'10) so my feet don't hang over the end! I absolutely love it, and wish i'd got one sooner. It soon flattened out as soon as i started to use it and i had no issues at all. Delivery was really quick, came in a thin box with a sturdy carry strap included and instructions on how to clean the mat if needed. I think cost per use it's good value for money, and would buy from this company again.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: After about a months use, it smells horrible. How do I get the smell out?**
A: I do hot yoga 4-5 times a week and sweat all over my mat & it smells AWFUL.  I've cleaned it, scrubbed it down with hot soapy water & tea tree oil and have soaked it in a bath tub and it's still bad.  I admit, I was bad about rolling it up still wet and not letting it air out in the beginning.  I've only used it for 2 months and child's pose is almost unbearable.  It's really hard to "arrive on my mat" when it smells so bad.

**Q: Does the squeakness go away eventually? I am afraid to use this mat since I don't want the squeakness intrupt other students at my yoga studio.**
A: The mat only squeaks at one of the places where I practice yoga. That facility has a wood floor. The other studio where I practice has concrete floors and I’ve never noticed the noise there. I think it depends more on the surface, but it squeaks just as much now as when I first bought it

**Q: Is this closed-cell and what material is it? TPE?**
A: Yes, TPE & artificial leather.

**Q: Is iuga mat surface smooth or textured? are the striations of color in picture of the mat - a design or actual texture in top layer of the mat?**
A: The mat is smooth on top and textured on the bottom so it doesn’t move on the floor. The color variation is just a design.

I've been doing pilates/yoga for about 2 years now, once a week and decided it was time to upgrade my very cheap mat for something more stylish and hardwearing. Bits had been falling off my old mat for a while, so it had to go. i decided on the IUGA pro non slip mat in navy blue, and couldn't be more pleased with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100% non slip, lightweight mat.

What a mat! I have been doing yoga for just over a year and I have tried various mats throughout this time. Some have been awful, painful to use (jute is not for me!) and some have just been too slippy. I do hot yoga and can say that this mat is 100% non slippy. I have used it in my own home at a normal temperature and it has been excellent. I then took it to my hot vinyasa flow class, which is held in a high temp room with a heated floor, for 75 mins and my mat did not budge 1 mm, it was fantastic! And I sweat, bucketfuls! Proper, running down your back sweat, gross but awesome at the same time lol. There is a slight odor from the mat but it's insignificant in comparison to the excellent performance of the mat and it's already easing. It's lightweight and I love the colour of it. The width is perfect and it's long enough for me, I'm 5'6". I am super pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this fabulous mat.
