I purchased this to see if it would remove seal coating that got splattered on my new garage door. I tested a small spot. It removed the tar very well, but it also removed the paint and caused the surrounding area to turn yellowish. Great solvent for tar/seal coating, but be very careful as it could also remove the underlying paint.

It's such a pleasant surprise when a product lives up to the hype. Goof Off was simple to use and worked for me immediately.I had several knives that I've used to open packages over the years which left a sticky mess that nothing else would remove.A simple dab on a washcloth was all it took to remove 100% of the mess.I love, love this product. Well done!
