**Q: Why doesn’t the can tap fit the R-134a sealing can?**
A: I used with zero r134a can not self sealing. Worked perfect. I looked up self sealing can and they use a 1/2 connecting instead of 1/4. This is 1/4 connect to piercing tool. I'm not sure if this piercing part will work with self sealing can by adding an adapter as it is not real long. They do make a piercing fitting for the self sealing can that will fit to the yellow hose. Then gauges will work OK. Guess need to send orion motor tech a email to say need an another adapter to order to use on self sealing cans. This is made to use in normal automotive air and home ac fittings. Fitting I s fairly cheap.

Addendum -- very responsive customer service. I got a replacement high pressure coupler after my first 2 star review. Therefore, I am upgrading it to 4 star. You just cannot expect top quality for low prices. 11/24/2019 It is not an expensive set, but the high pressure coupler spring is weak. It does not snap tight after a few uses. The connectors are also a bit loose. I have to hold it while charging refrigerant to prevent leakage. It gets my job done, but I think that it will not last long due to its low quality.
