## Description

This one man bivvi shelter is much smaller than a standard tent but with all the features. It comes complete with seven ultralight alloy stakes (six and one for a spare), to create a spacious canopy around the head, leaving plenty of room to manoeuvre and good breathable access.The Stratosphere packs into its own compression sack and when packed together (including tent pegs) weighs little over 1kg making it lightweight and practical. Fully zipped with a rollaway No-See-Um-Mesh Mosquito Net in the front of the hood and a meshed ventilation section at the back.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this function as a freestanding bivvi, or does it need to be staked down to work properly?**
A: I just spent the weekend in mine, it does not need to be staked down.  It is stable with the poles alone, but it is very light weight and the wind will blow it around easily if not weighted down or staked.

**Q: Does it leave you wet with perspiration in the morning (adequate ventilation)?  Doesn't look like it breaths much.**
A: I've used mine only once and it was not in rainy weather.  Didn't have trouble with perspiration but maybe that was because of the good weather.  IN general, I think that if you use the little aluminum tent poles and have sort of a tiny tent over your head and leave your head far enough out so you're not breathing inside the bag you won't have much condensation.

**Q: 12"×5"×1".  My, thats helpful... I'm 6'2, guess I wont fit in this 12" Long bivy then, right?**
A: I'm increasingly finding vendors selling gear here on Amazon and posting nonsensical dimensions information.  Makes one wonder why and how they are still in business if they don't pay attention to details.  I recently pointed out that a full sized tent was listed as being 1"x1"x1", and got a reply from the seller explaining that the dimension is, in fact, 1"x1"x1" ... he didn't use his brain one bit.  Totally bizarre.

**Q: what are the actual dimensions of this bivy when it is fully deployed.  one seller reports two different sets of measurements, one set being 90x37x42?**
A: Not going to measure it, But if you are 6-2 and 240 your at about the max if your using a winter bag.
