Liked it so I bought one for myself. Pole is a one piece which is not clear in the description. Using mine for pier and beach fishing in SW Florida. This combo easily handles pompano, perch and small sharks (Blacktip & Bonnetheads) up to 2ft long - haven't caught anything bigger yet other than unwanted catfish.Smooth casting and nice action on the pole. This either results in a very short cast with the bait and weight flying back at you, or the weight snaps the line. The only way to avoid it happening is to rotate the open bail to the left before casting. My reel is wound with 20 lb braid. I don't know if it happens with mono line. It's a real pain.Update: the rod tip broke after several weeks use.
