Every few days seems a lot. **Q: I have 2 big cats and 3 kittens in my family. There are 2 water feeders in total. So how many filter elements do I need to buy in 6 months?** A: It does not matter how many cats you have - The water filter should be changed monthly and the system cleaned out. Even if they favour one the water gets stale even though it needs to be topped up. I do mine every month. **Q: my cat drinks filtered water, do I need a filter?** A: Of course you need! The residues of animals after eating will be mixed into the water, and there will still be dust and other particles in the air that will accompany the water. Using filters can improve this situation and allow cats to drink more healthy water. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect in every way *by D***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 December 2021* Easy to use and good quality. This box will last a year so good value-for-money too! ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars They tend to break *by A***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 July 2023* I like them as they fit my cat's fountain better than others, are seemingly stable and last a long time. However, 2 out of the lot broke and there was carbon or another dark substance in the water within 2 weeks of it being inserted and used. I wash the basin and parts weekly, so it happened between two washes.Only 2 times, not all of them, so I bet it's either something I did or the two were faulty, but had to share. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars 🌼 *by C***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 December 2021* 🌼 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/69083659-cat-water-fountain-filters-6-pcs-pet-fountain-replacement-filters](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/69083659-cat-water-fountain-filters-6-pcs-pet-fountain-replacement-filters) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
