I returned Grip Puppies because they were too long. These grips are the same quality as Grip Puppies and 35% cheaper. These make a world of difference with riding comfort and minimize hand fatigue from highway vibrations. I applied hand sanitizer to the bike grips and the inside of the Grab Ons and simply twisted them into place in less then a minute. They are completely secure and are great quality. Review: Excellent fit on a F800ST - I was looking to preserve my already slightly worn grips (27k miles). The heaters work fine but I don't want to spend $100/grip when the rubber wears through. So to preserve them I got these covers. They seem nice so far, give the bike a feeling of a bit more heft. The trick to getting them on you need dish soap and some paper towels. Soak one of the sheets of towel in water and douse it in soap, like a lot of soap. Then drag it through the foam grip, then with the same soapy towel run it over your bar ends and grip top and bottom. At this point you probably got soap on the outside of the foam grips, which is okay. Grab your dry towel and use that to get some grip on the cover, otherwise it'll be a slippery mess trying to get it on, maybe wipe your hands down too. Wrapping the dry towel around the now mostly dry grip cover, push it real good over your bar end and existing grip. Pretty easy install, just need some good lubrication. They didn't make the new OD of the whole grip assembly as large as I thought, which is fine. Advantages: smooth ride (although BMW’s already are phenomenally smooth). Less hand fatigue especially for older riders like me with a bit of arthritis in my hands. Principle advantage is eliminating wear on OEM grips. BMW grips are not cheap. BMW = Bring More Wallet! Disadvantage: heated grips are slightly less warm… SLIGHTLY. This is my 4th set. I usually get around 25,00 miles out of a set before one begins to tear.
