But Bright Light! *by E***B on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2019* I absolutely love this camera kit. It is very easy to install, it comes with everything you need. You can just stick the power plug into your power port (cigarette lighter, remember those?) or they also provide you with a power cord with two bare wires that you can permanently connect to your car's electrical system if you so desire. It comes with a little tool to help pull weather stripping aside. It comes with double-sided tape, clips, weatherproof tubing for the wiring. It's fantastic. So I mounted mine under the passenger side mirror and I stuck the monitor to my dash using the supplied tape. I can now clearly see my blind spot, and because it is a bit of a fish-eye lens I can see all the road stripes on the ground, very handy when trying to fit inside a parking space. In extremely bad weather, storms, for example, the lens fogged up. But once the humidity dropped it cleared up. It rarely happens but you should know that's possible. Here's the thing I'm conflicted about. The nighttime vision is so good it's scary. Even on a totally dark road, you can clearly see the side of your car and for an amazingly long way down the road. I parked my car and took a good look at it. Oh, crap. It's visible light, not infrared. I thought it would be infrared. I should have guessed that when the image stayed in color even at night. You'll have to decide if it is showing enough white light to get you stopped by the police or if it bothers other drivers. You can reposition the camera to point the lights more downward so as not to be in people's faces but adjust the camera to look back. The lens is adjustable nearly a full 90 degrees, it's incredible. I highly recommend this affordable and high-quality kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Camera has lights that turn on at night that’s distracting. *by P***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2019* I installed today under my passenger side mirror. The Camera has lights that come on at night. Looking at my while driving the lights are very much a distraction. I can’t install where it’s not visible by the driver or the passengers. This system is useless at night as far as I’m concerned. Good picture daytime. Will be a lot of trouble to uninstall the camera. I have to take my door panel off. 😕😕😕 ### ⭐⭐ some problems *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2019* Marvelous technology. The poorest excuse for installation instructions ever. seen. One 3 x 5 page showing wires hooked up on a table. I got it working. Some parts still in the bag I did not use. One part giving insulation to a wire I might have figured out how to use but I had already gotten too far into the installation to go back. Also apparently really designed as a back up mirror because at night led lights shine and right in the eyes of the passenger side rider.
