I’ve had ceramic crocks, and used plastic food containers and those are messy, hard to keep airtight and always a chance of breakage. This butter keeper is weighty, the cover seals with no effort and it is easy to clean. Have an extra in my cart right now, though I think this one will last forever. Love.
