The legs screwed into a threaded metal insert (not just into plywood) and they were all in the right place and straight. It has a hinged lid which stays up when you open it. Weight limit is 320 pounds so safe to sit on. NOTE: : the color called teddy gray is actually a soft dusty blue just like it looks in the picture, which is why I bought it because I wanted blue. It is low enough to slide under my bed. (I have a higher than normal bed and have been boosting myself into it-which felt like an accident waiting to happen.)

I needed a small ottoman that could work double duty. Needed it to be small enough to tuck under my end tables out of a main footpath, but reasonable to add comfort when seated at our rocking chair. These are perfect. I also wanted stools that would be small enough to double as small stools for my 1 year olds. These are perfect! Arrived quickly. Packaged well and included felt pads for the feet. Better in person than in the photo. High quality hinges. The storage is so nice.
