After about an hour I saw some honey seeping from the valve so I put the pail in a pan to catch anymore. The picture is after about five hours of the honey sitting in the bucket. If I tried to tighten it anymore I'm sure I would have stripped the threads. The other valve is holding just fine after four hours. Both were installed exactly the same in brand new food grade buckets.Update: A day after I left the above review I received a note from the seller of these honey gates. They were very concerned that I was having a problem with one leaking unit. They are sending me a new set to correct the problem.. That is how customer service is supposed to work. Installation was straightforward—I easily attached them to two buckets I purchased from Walmart using a drill bit from Lowe’s. Even with the added cost of the valves and the bit it was still much cheaper than buying pre-installed buckets.My only concern is a slight drip on one of the valves. I double-checked the washer placement and everything seems correct, but there’s just a tiny drip. It’s not a major issue, and certainly not enough to warrant a return for the amount of usage I'll have.
