Check engine light came on today.** A: Yes and all other codes as well! **Q: What would happen if you used the E85 tune if your car doesn’t have the E85 kit?** A: If it's a 2017 or 2018 86 or BRZ I would not use the OFT I got to lean codes as soon as i started to use it and the launch control does work for those years. That being said it will work with out a e85 kit but in the winter it has cold start problems. Check out the ecutek set up at delious tuning they have a good kit for that set up. Since I got there tune I have no check engine lights and the car runs great. And they get back to you asap if you have a question, the guy at OFT takes for ever when you have a problem. **Q: Using the stage 2 E85 tune, what kind of engine oil should I use? 5w-30?** A: That is kind of a difficult question to answer. Stages are super subjective for one, and the increased viscosity of 5w-30 will really muck it up if you live in a cold state. If you live in a warm one and track your car heavily, you should be okay to use the 5w-30. "Stage 2" for the FRS and BRZ in this case for the OFT is just UEL, front-pipe, overpipe and exhaust and I don't think it includes boost. If you have a Jackson Racing supercharger, I can say from personal experience the 5W seems to run better. Can't speak for other supers or turbos unfortunately, but it seems like most people with boost move up to 5W.
