Review: Tricky to use, but fun! - These are pretty cool to work with. they are a bit tricky and do require practice to get right. I've tried to do these types of cuts before WITHOUT any aids and it's very hard. Using these made a huge difference in my ability to make long ribbon like cuts from cylindrical foods. I was able to easily make long strips of cucumber and carrot which then became matchsticks for sushi filling. The magnets are strong and stay on the knife blade well. They slid a bit from side to side along the knife, but that could also be from my technique or the food hitting them. The case is well made and fits the pieces nicely. Cleaning can be a bit tricky because of the magnets. They will stick to the side of the sink or cluster with cutlery.
