**Q: do you have to use descaler**
A: The Steam Generator is protected against high levels of lime scale. This is a specially designed system that has an anti-scale cartridge that purified the water on its way into the tank which will reduce any lime scale build up. Also, another filter is used to capture any lime scale that does manage to enter the system which can then be easily emptied and cleaned by rinsing under the tap. So we have found that so far there is no need to use descaler

A: no it does not have auto shut off

**Q: Difference between series 1, 2 & 3 for this iron?**
A: The 1, is supposed to be the basic but it’s got everything you need

**Q: Is it normal for the iron to produce some sort of “ gir gir sound when the steam button is pressed to produce steam?**
A: Our iron does the same it could be that the iron is not quite ready to produce steam, it seems sometimes that you should not leave it too long before you start ironing if you leave it too long it seems to go into a sort of standby mode, overall though this is a great iron.

A bit disappointed with the performance of this generator iron,not as powerful as my old one which lasted for eleven years.It's a pain having to wait for the steam to come through and not much of it! Only used this once but will have to adjust to it.Light to handle and well made for the price.Would have given five stars ifcthe steam had been better.
