I have OCD and in recent years have sought ways that I can learn to control obsessive behaviour. I have previously really benefitted from Wreck This Journal and Mess by Keri Smith as they encourage you to destroy a book and intentionally make it imperfect. I was really impressed with this book. I have had it a few weeks now and have found that it has a real calming effect with me. It does force out obsessive behaviours and channels them into a contained hobby.The book focuses around colours and complementary colours. The outside cover is similar to a board book and is very thick card. It cannot be bent without destroying it. Each page is incredibly detailed and is also thick enough that fine tip pens / uni ball pens do not soak through. Some pages are partially coloured in and some are meant for line drawing. There is a good combination of colouring and line drawing.I personally feel that this book is better suited for fine tip pens as some of the spaces to colour in are tiny. It also takes well to the paper. I had looked on Amazon atthesame time for some fine tip pens and were surprised how much they were - but I bought a pack of 30 various coloured fine tip pens from the works for £6 called scribblers and they work really well. I would definitely recommend them for this book.This book has helped me calm OCD tendencies, I have read other reviews saying it has helped people sleep better. I can't say I have experienced that, but when I feel anxious an hour of colouring helps me control that anxiety. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an outlet for OCD, stress or anxiety. I also think if you just enjoy colouring in your kids colouring books it's a great you time activity. Great quality, great price at £6. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wanted it for myself! *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 March 2016* To start off with I had been looking for a book for colouring therapy for a while and I just kept finding ones that were way to small for the price. It was really fustrating until I found this one as it had a lot of good reviews on it although it was a bit pricey I thought I should just try it.When I recieved the book in the post, It was nicely packaged in a box although I was abit disappointed it was not wrapped on the inside because water could have got in but it is the only fault I could give it.I bought this book as a gift but I absolutely fell in love with it as the size of it was amazing for the price I got it because it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be so I decided to keep it and buy another one for my sister.The book was a lot bigger than what i thought it was going to be. I would say just over 100 back to back pages in the book. There is loads of beautiful and fun pictures to colour in and I like the pages where you can draw your own details aswell because I feel that it makes it more your own book unlike having the same as everyone elses. I really love this book. There are some lovely patterns and pictures in this book. There is a nice balance of pure colouring in pages and pages where you can doodle in details or finish the picture. The paper is lovely and thick and I have not had any leakage.
