I have an unusually long head (or for you geometry fans, my head has high eccentricity). So, if you have a long, narrow head, this will probably fit you well. If your head is more circular, it might not work, though they do enclose some pads that will supposedly help you adjust the fit. I don't know how well those pads work, as I don't need them.I am new to equestrian sports. The packaging for this helmet mentions the importance of replacing your helmet every few years and of not wearing the helmet if the plastic shell has been discolored, cracked, or warped. Such things can indicate heat/sun damage which may affect the structural integrity of your helmet. Such damage could mean your helmet won't protect you properly in a fall.I realize now that many of my school's rental helmets looked old and had warped plastic outer shells. I'm really glad I bought my own helmet. It's cleaner, more comfortable, and above all, safer.I haven't suffered a fall while riding.
