The Chill Cube 18K RV roof air conditioner by Furrion has been engineered with variable speed compressors to increase cooling efficiency and lessen operating noise. The cooling unit's robust rating makes it ideal for any hot climate and allows it to cool down quickly, even when ambient temperatures reach 105°F.This RV AC unit has variable speed compressor technology, which means it does not cycle on and off. Instead, it changes speeds based on the amount of cooling needed in your campervan. This eliminates harsh cyclic starts and stops that are typical with a single-speed compressor. It also means that it can slowly change speeds to maintain a temperature setpoint, eliminating the need for aftermarket soft start devices. This was a quick and easy install weighs a lot less than the old unit cools down a camper a lot quicker and is a lot quieter. Once it comes off of turbo mode, but even on turbo mode is still quieter than the old unit on high Will highly recommend to anybody, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law even said that when there goes out, they’re gonna upgrade their to this style. Easy to install. Quiet. We can finally watch TV and have a conversation in our 5th wheel RV without turning the volume up. On dry mode it really sucks the humidity out of here when it is humid outside. Plus, we don't have to get up and change the thermostat. The remote control now hangs by our couch so we can easily adjust the temperature in the room. Money well spent.
