They are a nice square, and it doesn't seem as if the color is going to wear off, so they should stay a rich deep purple. The length is good. It's a nice medium length that covers my real nails, and they seem strong enough to protect them through lots of work. Unlike other brands I've tried, these are not flimsy or mearly printed with color--the plastic itself is colored assuring a nice looking manicure throughout the wear. Two things I did not like: one, the numbering system on these nails is off from the numbering system I'm used to, which made it harder to find the appropriate nail to fit. Also, I don't think the nails are quite the same shape or width as what I'm used to, so the fit is a little different. Second, the adhesive tabs are too short for the nail itself, there ends up being a lot of gap.
