A: VOLUME - 8.6 LITERS (2.3 GALLON). Note: Volume may differ from that stated as clay water dispensers will absorb water.

**Q: do i need to clean it 1st, how can i clean it is there ant specific instructions for cleaning ?**
A: Upon receiving your clay water dispenser or carafe, wash and rinse it thoroughly with clean water (be sure to wash all parts, including the lid and base) and remove all debris. You can scrub it VERY LIGHTLY. Then soak it in clean water for 24 hours. After a final rinse, your clay water dispenser or carafe is ready for use. DO NOT use any soap or dish washing liquid when washing or soaking the dispensers and carafes. It is recommended that you regularly use water stored in the clay water dispenser or carafe. It is also recommended that you rinse and wash the dispensers and carafes with water ONLY once every 1 to 2 weeks.
