It ok.. lots of plastic parts.. so if this machine is going to be getting a lot of use I would say go for a mire expensive machine with metal parts

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ this is good for free motion quilting!

This machine is just what I needed to do free motion quilting (FMQ). I am new to FMQ and was not getting good results with my other sewing machine. The C7290Q has speed control. I am quilting at the slowest speed and I see a definite improvement with the slower speed. Regarding the bobbin: look at the diagram closely. The first time I tried to prepare the bobbin the thread was extremely loose! I think Singer should make their diagram bigger. Regarding the walking foot: it took me a few days before I got the walking foot on properly. I ended up taking the needle out of the machine, turning it on its back ( on a pillow), and then getting the foot on in the right position.
