Suction is great as well! One thing to note is that stainless steel isn’t microwave-safe, so you’ll need to heat food before transferring it to the plate. Also, because it’s metal, it can make a little more noise if your toddler likes tapping utensils on it. Overall, this is a well-made plate that feels like it will last for years. These plates are the best thing out there for toddler meal-time. The plates themselves are a good size, durable material and can go right in the dishwasher, and because they're stainless, they don't hold onto any food or soap "stink." The suction-cup sleeves actually stick! This is the only plate my son hasn't been able to detach himself which has been a game-changer for my sanity. These are a great value for the quality and a perfect alternative if your looking for a plastic-free option!
