### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ruggedly built and highly functional suitcase at a good price - Fairly lightweight also.

*by G***W on December 22, 2016*

I had been searching a few days for a replacement to a very old 27" rollerboard suitcase I had and loved for years. And I did some pretty extensive research, because I'm very picky on luggage. I was about resigned to settle for second best until I discovered this Travelpro Crew 10 25" case. This is the only suitcase I found that met all my needs. I am a VERY frequent traveler including a couple international trips a year, so for one thing I needed something fairly rugged, but yet still fairly lightweight - a tough combo.Starting with the outside of the case, the first requirement was the "spinner" wheels. Rollerboards certainly beat no wheels, but they can put a strain on shoulders and limit ability to roll the suitcase down a train aisle for example. And these wheels are innovatively designed with the turning mechanism built into the case which should reduce wear and potential damage. I took it out on a spin fully loaded and it rolled effortlessly over everything and turned on a dime. It does roll well over carpet as well, but the deeper the pile the more effort and really on those surfaces you need to tip it and pull in old rollerboard fashion. The outside measurements are 25x11 (including outside pockets empty) x 17.5. Including wheels, it is 27" high. Empty weight is exactly 9.5 pounds. In checking with the manufacturer I found the material on the Crew 10 is a ballistic nylon vs a poly nylon on the lighter models such as the Maxlite models. And it does appear to be sturdy material comparable to my old case. There is also reinforcement on ALL corners including the outside pocket corners. In my experience this the most important area as corners receive the most damage. The zippers are very heavy duty and slide easily and the zipper tabs are heavy duty. There are two outside pockets - one that is 20" deep and expands out 6" and the smaller one 10" deep that expands out 5". Be aware this is a larger suitcase than it appears to be due to this - if you use these pockets as well you could exceed the 50 pound weight limit. The telescoping handle has two locking positions that are perfect for either using as a rollerboard or in the spinner mode walking beside the case. Finally, in addition to the telescoping handle and a top handle, there is also a side handle and place on bottom where you can place your fingers making this suitcase very easy to lift and handle. On the inside there are two main compartments. The top compartment has a full zipper around so you can easily pack clothing you don't want to wrinkle. It also contains a "suiter" which is basically a hanger type device for suits or dresses. It can be removed easily as it is attached with a zipper. With the suiter removed, it measures 2 1/2" deep, but expands out at least 2". I put 3 pair of folded slacks, and 4 shirts in it with some room to spare. I wish it had been a couple inches deeper, but I couldn't find anything deeper. Most cases, regardless of brand, either don't have this zipper compartment at all, or they partially zip down and are more pockets than a compartment. The large lower compartment measures 24.5 x 17.5 x 12 deep. It has two a pocket on each side - mesh one that is 18" x 8" that zips and a plastic zip one that is 13 x 8. The main compartment has tie downs so you can secure clothing and other items. And believe me, you can put a ton of stuff in this compartment. During my trial run I loaded it with clothing, and some misc items like a power strip, hiking shoes, etc. Again, if you fully load this case, you could exceed the 50 pound limit. I am not a light packer, but I could easily use just this one case for a 10 day trip. So, if you're looking for a ruggedly built, fairly lightweight and VERY functional case with spinner wheels that will be comfortable to roll thru airports, hotels and trains, look no further. I came close to buying the 29" version of this and am I ever glad I got this one instead. That one would have been much too large, but if you need the extra space it may be worth considering.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great

*by S***E on December 22, 2015*

Been using this for five months now, which would be close to 40 planes for me. It's held up well through so much checking, looks like I've hardly used it. There are some darker stains on the bottom from weather, and the front logo is scratched up a bit, but all of that is not too noticeable. I like having this red color, makes it easier to see on the belt. Despite going through plenty of rain, it's always kept my stuff inside nice and dry. I don't use the outer pockets. The wheels are still going strong and smooth, the frame is solid, the handle is good, no broken zippers. Easy to maneuver through crowds, I like to stick my smaller Tumi oslo rolling tote on the top of it and it fits fine.Even with this big bag completely filled (about 48 lbs or so) and the rolling tote on top of it, it glides along effortlessly. Frankly, I imagine the quality of this Travelpro checked bag to be hard to match. There isn't really anything else I could ask for in a bag. I absolutely recommend it. Wonder how long it will last, seems like it will hold up well for a long time. It's already outlasted two similar sized samsonites and a swiss gear.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great suitcase, versatile, durable, and great for travel.

*by G***G on March 6, 2015*

This is a great suitcase. Plenty of room for travel items, good construction, has been very durable so far. Only drawback is that with the zipper side expansion, you can load it to be heavier than 50lbs. Bags over 50lbs are normally charged a significant extra fee with most airline carriers. I recommend not using the zipper expansion unless you really know that you're packing bulky light stuff.Super easy to move around on the wheels, even when loaded to the max. I traveled with it a few times, and it's just great to have the ability to push it in front of you (long ways). You can scoot through people and objects easily because it's no wider than you. Easily rolls over cracks in pavement, turn it sideways, and pull it behind you like a traditional 21" carry on, and hop curbs, no problem.Just remember 25" is not a carrier on size, so it goes with luggage in be the belly of plane.
