Upon opening the container there was less content than I expected, as if the product appeared to have lost water after being put in. Since it is water based, I guess this is possible.I haven't noticed any difference in function or consistency compared to a smaller container that I got at my local barber shop so I'm not concerned, but it is worth noticing that you may experience this.On to the product...I use this on my beard as I don't have any hair on top!I have an unruly beard that is hard to manage and needs quite firm hold. I purchased this because I wanted to try a matte finish and found it wasn't as firm hold as I would hope for when first applied. I don't use it in my moustache because it just won't hold as well as I need (at start of the day I need to put the moustache up tightly in order for it to remotely stay that way for the rest of the day!).Having said that, if your hair isnt too curly this might be just the thing for you. Smell is pleasant but not too obtrusive and doesn't linger. Consistency is light and works in well. Doesn't leave any obvious traces so no shine or anything like that.When it is dry it holds things in place very well, so I use this on the remainder of my beard and it shapes it well, but not too "tight" - if that makes sense. I think of it as a fairly "natural" look. Doesn't keep things severely under control but generally shapes well.I think of my beard as a "George V" with a bit more beard in a pointy Van Dyke style. ### ⭐⭐ Old outdated hair product *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2019* When I received this uppercut product, the case looked very rusty and old. It literally had dust all over it. I opened the can and the clay was properly sealed but there was brown grease through the whole product, under the seal. You can tell, once again this product had been sitting for a very loooonnnggg time. I had no choice but to throw it away. Very bad product.
