However, when I opened the package, the handle was broken. I believe the USP person who delivered just threw the package over the fence and the heaviness of this item made the handle crack off. If the person didn't know how to open the door, I expect a notification of attempt delivery instead of just throwing an item over a fence. I Gave it a 4 stars because of the delivery service and because of the wait in order to get a new one, other than that, the product looks good. I removed the coating with a sander and went through a 3 step process of reapplying the coating. I think, after the first phases, I noted a crack in the upper right hand corder going to approximately midline. Part of the process is heating the item on the stove. I noticed the crack after heating it for the first time. That being said, it is a beautiful griddle.
