Yet it's robust blown up, furnishing 3-4" of cushioning interspersed with holes that provide the continually adjusting pain relief I need for my rare orthopedic/nerve disorder if I want to sleep in a hotel bed. The cushioning amount is variable according to the amount of air placed in it, so it can be customized. Better yet is the hand pump that doesn't require any electricity if you're in a more remote spot without power. Although I read this overlay was originally designed to prevent bedsores in infirm populations in nursing/rehab facilities and for patients undergoing long hospital surgeries in hospitals, its compact size makes it an outstanding--and affordable!--overlay for disabled people with a host of conditions who want more freedom to travel, like me.
